  Wow! Beautiful building on Hlavná! The architecture is great, rich with decorations and ornaments. The interior is fabulous. Every season is full of events, ballets, opera nights, etc... tickets are cheap and it’s definitely worth going!

  he State Theatre, Košice (Štátne divadlo Košice) is situated in the centre of Košice, Slovakia. The representative building of the State Theatre was built in a Neo-baroque style according to projects of Adolf Lang during the years 1879–1899. The interior of the theatre is richly decorated with plaster ornaments. The stage is lyre-shaped. The ceiling of the building is decorated with scenes from William Shakespeare's tragedies Othello, Romeo and Juliet, King Lear and A Midsummer Night's Dream.

  Small but cozy theatre, well maintained and constantly active with operas and representations. If you want to be a local, you cannot miss to attend one exhibition in here!

  Košice State Theatre is a beautiful building from the outside as well as the inside. The architect really did a good job creating this masterpiece. There are several shows a week and it's definitely worth visiting one of them, even if it's only to experience the theatre from the inside.
