  I have never written any reviews like this despite being a seasoned traveller. I hv been to Japan more than 10 times and stay in Singapore where there are many good authentic Jap restaurants with Jap chef. The reason i write this is bcoz it is a shocking revelation to find such GOOD Japaneserestaurant in Europe at such reasonable pricing. Ordered the beef(Jap standard tender Wagyu beef cooked medium), yaki soba (fried noodle), tori karaage (fried chic Jap style), Gyu Don (beef rice bowl), fried octopus whiskers (good quantity for a so called starter) and edamame....Euro 50+. I bet my bottom dollars that u dont find this quality in most Jap restaurants in Japan unless u go to the 20% more upper class establishments. The interior decor is impeccable underground cellar with Jap style zen lay out. Try beating that. Only our family and another table when we were there and i was thinking....u dont know what u r missing. I am overjoyed bcoz we had attentive service. Try it....trust me....i was moved to write my first review. This is Jap food... period, no need to use the word authentic which normally suggest some watered down imitation. No 'modified to hopefully fit European taste buds' Jap food here. All decent sized portion not degustation sized...one bite and its gone portion.

  Food was amazing! Authentic in taste and good quality! The price was very reasonable as well. A gem in the basement as the interior is warm, cosy and contemporary. Definitely worth a drop in!

  If you are looking for a completely different Japanese experience than ordinary sushi and ramen then this is the place! Japanese cabbage pancake Okonomiyaki is their staple and definitely worth trying but don't be afraid of other dishes as well.

  A really good Japanese restaurant taking into account the region. Tasty food, unbelievably tender beef, very reasonable prices. You should definitely give it a try.

  We've been to Kansai restaurant several times and we are always impressed by the quality of the food. The staff is also very nice. The restaurant itself is located in Bratislava's old town and can be easily missed as it is in a courtyard and not really well marked besides a small stand advertising lunch menus on the street. One downfall is that the toilets are located outside which could be a hassle in the winter. To sum up, great authentic food from the Kansai region in a nice place with very reasonable prices but also quite easy to miss.
